What we do not provide
China Routes Guide is a publisher. We are not a travel agency, a booking or intervention service, a seller of travel equipment or gear, or a source of quotes or cost estimates for a trip. We do not offer any of these, on the site or on request — see contact for what a message to us can and cannot ask for.
Figures go out of date
Every operational figure here — ticket price, opening window, booking deadline, journey time — was correct at the source on the date printed beside it. Chinese attractions change prices seasonally, adjust opening windows between summer and winter, and occasionally close at short notice for maintenance, weather or events.
Confirm anything that your trip depends on with the operator on the day you book. A date on this site tells you when we last looked; it does not tell you nothing has changed since.
Entry rules are the traveller’s responsibility
Visa, transit and entry requirements depend on your nationality, your route, your passport and the port you arrive at, and they change. What we publish is the general shape of a policy with a link to the government source. The only authority on whether you may enter China is the Chinese government and the embassy or consulate responsible for you.
Safety, health and conditions on the ground
Mountain paths, cable cars, cliff staircases and river boats carry risks that no guide can remove. Weather closes attractions. Altitude affects people differently. Assess conditions yourself, follow instructions on site, and check your own government’s current travel advice for China before you go.
