Editorial policy

The rules this desk holds itself to: sourcing, corrections, advertising, and the use of AI.

1. No invented experience

Nobody on this desk writes as though they have been somewhere they have not been. There is no first-person travel narration on this site, no invented anecdote, and no photograph presented as our own.

Where we describe what visitors encounter — a queue, a closure, a crowded staircase — we say that it comes from public traveller reports, and we say roughly when those reports were written.

2. Every operational figure is sourced and dated

Prices, opening hours, booking windows and journey times come from the organisation that sells them. Each guide displays the date its figures were last confirmed, and the badge turns amber by itself once a re-check is due.

Where sources disagree, we publish the range and name the disagreement rather than choosing the tidier number.

3. Corrections are visible

When a figure changes, we change it in the guide and move the check date. We do not quietly edit and leave the old date standing, because the date is the whole promise.

Reader corrections are welcome and are the fastest route to an accurate page. See Contact.

4. Advertising is separated from editorial

The site is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we cover, no preview of what we publish, and no influence on whether we recommend something.

We do not currently run affiliate links. If that ever changes, it will be disclosed on the page carrying them, not in a footnote.

5. How we use AI, and how we do not

We use language models as drafting and research assistants, in the same way an editor uses a researcher. We do not publish unreviewed machine output.

Every operational figure — every price, hour and duration — is checked against a primary source by a person before publication, regardless of how the surrounding text was drafted. A model’s recollection of a ticket price is not a source, and is never treated as one here.

6. What we will not cover

  • Fast-moving policy news. Visa rules move; we cover the stable shape of them and link to the government source rather than reporting each change.
  • Anything we cannot source. A gap in the guide is better than a confident guess.
  • Politically sensitive commentary. This is a site about how to get from a station to a ticket gate.

7. Who is responsible

Editorial responsibility rests with Chriss R. for NET STUDIO LLC, 1501 South Greeley Hwy, Ste C #1386, Cheyenne, WY 82007, United States — .
